Participation of the Presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the Joint Cultural Program of Navruz

On the evening of March 31, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, Honorable Sadyr Japarov and Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the festivities of the International holiday of Navruz at the stadium “20th Anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan”, which included a joint cultural program presented by artists from the three countries.

Speaking at the solemn ceremony, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, sincerely congratulated the distinguished guests – the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, the people of all three countries, as well as representatives of other friendly countries and international partners who visited ancient Khujand on this occasion, on the International holiday of Navruz.

The Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, spoke about the status and enduring customs of Navruz, stating that this holiday “as an integral part of our history and culture for centuries has prompted us to strengthen peace and stability, friendly relations and cooperation.”

Our Head of State also called it “absolutely clear” that today, our joint efforts are also aimed at comprehensively using the humanitarian principles and high symbols of the historical holiday of Navruz for the benefit of present and future generations.

The President of our country, Emomali Rahmon, called the Treaty between the Republic of Tajikistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Junction Point of the State Borders of the three countries a “historical document” and emphasized that “thus, we once again firmly declare our support for the values of peace and principles of addressing all existing issues through dialogue, in the spirit of good neighborliness, mutual understanding, sincerity, respect and mutual trust.”

In addition, Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that “from today on, the borders of the three countries will become borders of eternal friendship, truly good neighborliness and constructive partnership.”

Our Head of State assessed the agreements reached as a natural determination of the peoples of the three countries and emphasized: “We are obliged to continue to make joint efforts in this direction.”

The Heads of State of Kyrgyzstan, Honorable Sadyr Japarov, and Uzbekistan, Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev, also delivered speeches on the occasion of the Navruz holiday with congratulations and best wishes.

Then, the magnificent festivities in honor of the International Navruz celebration continued at the Central Stadium of Khujand with a rich cultural program of artists and creative groups from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, which became an example of the spiritual and cultural closeness of the peoples of the three countries.

The artistic program, which included the sounds and melodies of friendship, brotherhood, and good neighborliness, became a clear example of goodwill and kindness.
